Genetically predisposed to sleep on my side so as not to choke on my own sick. I can sense that you're growing weary of this cheap whiskey schtick. It's a stitch, it's a splintered crutch that you lean on waiting for the night to end. The pride you don't swallow drips down your chin. How've you been? Have you been wearing midnight? Your insides teeming with contempt and gin? I'm sorry, Jake, but I emptied all the little bottles you kept in the backpack that I gave you when you said that you needed it. Six hundred stolen samples sucked down by a dipso-manic depressive who should have been cut off. The ruined show, I didn't need a coat, the liquor was overflowing. I need to go downstairs to the cellar below and board myself in. Huh? Yes. One more, thank you. I tried to bare my soul but it was ugly and drunk so they spit it back at me. I leaned over to wipe it off my shoes and found them melancholy. It's just them and me, we'll all three be unhappy. I was too entranced by their black tongues to notice the trouble I'd found myself in. I'm sorry, Jake, for saying sorry on stage.
